| Lake Tahoe Beach Descriptions |
|
| |
• Zephyr Cove: Locals choice for all day
partying because it allows beach cocktails. No open container laws
in Nevada. There are volleyball tournaments every weekend and waverunners
& parasailing rentals. |
|
| |
• Round Hill Beach: Smaller version of Zephyr
with more personal area and room to play beach sports. Water is real
clean. Beach cocktails are ok as it is in NV. This is also a great
family spot. |
|
| • Kings Beach: This
the hot spot for the North Shore of Tahoe |
|
| |
• Kiva Beach: Wide open beach with great
views of MT Tallac. Lots of Wildlife. Dogs are ok here and the water
is crystal clear. |
|
| |
• Camp Richardson: Great family place with
lots of hiking and shops near by. The Beacon restaurant and bar is
on site and usually has live music. Historical sites are within walking
distance. |
|
| • Emerald Bay: Short
hike down to the historical Vikings Home and secluded beach. There
are hiking trails from the bay including the Eagle Falls trail which
leads to a gorgeous year round waterfall. |
|
| |
• Cascade Lake: Decent hike out to a really
secluded lake and waterfall. Have it to yourself. |
|
| |
• Fallen Leaf Lake: 4 mile mountain bike
ride or a short drive to this beach which rests at the base of the
tallest peak in town, MT. Tallac. Really dramatic views and gorgeous
views all the way out to the lake. |
|
| • Angora Lake: Short
drive followed by a short hike, but well worth it. There is a series
of small crystal clear lake on the 15 minute hike. Its awesome here,
and away from the congestion of town. |
|
| |
• Reagan Beach:Good family place to relax
and play with children. There is a playground on site, volleyball
court and huge grass area for playing wiffle ball, soccer, ect. |
|
| |
• Ski Run Marina: Lots of activities to choose
from but a small beach. Waverunners, boat rentals, and parasailing
are available right at the beach. Grab dinner at the Riva Grill that
overlooks the lake. |
|
| • Stateline Beach:
This is a private beach for all hotel guests between Stateline and
Park Avenue. Play ground and restaurant on site and a great spot to
watch holiday fireworks. |
|
| |
• Hidden Beach or Secret Beach: Not really
sure of the name but it is our favorite unmarked beach on the lake.
The rock formations are great to lay out on and the swimming is amazing
between all the boulders. It requires a short hike down from the road.
Look for the cars along route 28. |
|
| |
• Sand Harbor: Crystal clear waters and near
perfect sands with rock formations to explore and places to hike right
from the towel. |
